Halfway There, And Feeling Pretty Good...
...most days. I'm twenty weeks along today, and I'm feeling good, although I have had a handful of bad days in the past few weeks. The one week I threw up everyday, I had a really nasty sinus infection, and I think it made me sick to my stomach. Other than that I've felt nauseous here and there, but I'm nothing like I was with Rebecca and William. I can actually function during this pregnancy.
In other news...THE TWILIGHT MOVIE PREMIERE IS ONE MONTH FROM TODAY! Are we going together Coronado and former Coronado Ward ladies? If so, then we better get some plans together.

Parents' Day
Yesterday was Parents' Day at Rebecca's dance class, so the other parents and I got to sit in the room while Ms. Stephanie taught the class.
And this is what Rebecca did at the beginning of class:
She stayed next to Ms. Stephanie most of the time and did not want to participate. I don't think she was happy about the audience that came to watch that day.
As class went on, I think she started to forget about the people watching, and she wanted to dance with the rest of her friends. This was her when it came time for ballet:
I'm glad she finally started dancing at the end because I really got to see how much she enjoys the class. Ms. Stephanie told me that the reason why she does Parents' Day is so that the kids get used to an audience and don't have Rebecca's reaction during bigger recitals.
In the is picture, the music is saying, "This is my left heal, this is my left heal." The song does this with right foot, left foot, right heal, left heal, right arm, left arm. I still am not very quick when distinguishing right from left, and Rebecca already knows which side is which.
The girls have to get their shoes and put them on by themselves when it's time to change from tap to ballet or from ballet to tap.

I've been so happy with this class for Rebecca, and she absolutely loves Ms. Stephanie. As you can see, she is pregnant and will probably take a break after she has her baby. I really hope she continues with her dance classes after her break because I don't ever want to go anywhere else.

High School Tag - Kevin
I am counting this as my journal entry for all four years of high school.
1. Did you date someone from your school? No. I went on dates in High School but never dated anyone seriously.
2. What kind of car did you drive? I drove a 92 Toyota Camry, and I am still stuck in one of those.
3. Did you pass your driver's license test on the first try? Yes. Probably should have practiced the parking lot maneuvers a few more times before I got my license though.
4. Were you a party animal? I hated parties. What a waste of time. So no, I guess not.
5. Were you considered a flirt? No. I was pretty naive when it came to that nonsense.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? I was in orchestra my freshman year. I liked the teacher about as much as she liked me, so freshmen year was all I got.
7. Were you a nerd? Probably, but my ego is too big to admit to myself that it's a possibility.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? Yes. I was on the Varsity Hockey team. The only sport I ever played in those days. (see #19)
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? They tried to threaten me with expulsion once. Senior year homecoming I wore a kilt (as I did to all the dances). I forgot to remove the knife that was in my sock (which is part of the get-up) before I went into the dance. On our way in I realized it, and I gave the knife to the School Police Officer who was outside the front door. The school cop was a total tool shed about it. The next day in school, the Dean called me in and wanted tried telling me that they were going to have to expell me for it. I can't remember how it blew over but nothing happened.
10. Can you still sing the fight song? I don't even know what our fight song was. I don't think I ever knew. If it's the obvious - Dum diddy Dum diddy Dum diddy Dum BONANZA! then I got it, but I don't know if that was it or not.
11. Who were your favorite teachers? The only teacher's that ever liked me, were my Seminary teachers, so they are the only ones that I like - how about that.
12. Where did you sit during lunch? We were allowed to go off campus for lunch. I don't remember ever eating lunch at school. Not once.
13. What is your schools full name? Bonanza High School
14. School mascot and colors? Bengal - Brown and Gold (Yep that's right - Poop and Pee were my school colors.)
16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? No. I had fun in High School, but no.
17. What do you remember most about graduation? I think I was sleeping honestly. I do remember that at the Party that night, a buddy dumped out the sprite in my soda can, and replaced it with beer. I am glad I got to taste it, I never want to again. I probably should have seen it coming when 15 people were all staring at me in silence as I lifted a Sprite can to my lips, a look of almost manic anticipation on all their faces.
18. Where did you go senior skip day? I was so good at ditching all the other days of the year, So I went to every single class on Senior Ditch Day, me and probably 4 other students per class. I thought I would try to score some brownie points with all my teachers by showing up, hoping that it might change the way they felt towards me. It didn't.
19. Were you in any clubs? I mentioned playing varsity hockey. It was a club. I actually helped the rink get it sanctioned with the school district my Junior Year. It lasted for another year or two after I graduated, but the rink kept trying to schedule school games on Sundays, which is against school policy I guess, so the school district told the Rink to take a hike.
20. Have you gained some weight since then? At least 40 pounds. (All muscle baby. At least somewhere under there is some muscle.)
21. Who was your prom date? Kayla Gallagher. Good food, went to a show, and then went bungee jumping. Good times.
22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Yep.

High School Tag
I got tagged by Natalie:
1. Did you date someone from your school? Nope. I didn't really date anyone in high school.
2. What kind of car did you drive? I drove an '84 Ford Bronco 2 after I turned sixteen. My junior year, my dad bought a Ford Ranger, and I got to drive it since it was his extra car.
3. Did you pass your driver's license test on the first try? Yes. I made a big mistake right out of the DMV parking lot, and I started crying because I thought I automatically failed. I think the guy felt bad for me because he passed me with the lowest passing score.
4. Were you a party animal? not really
5. Were you considered a flirt? I think so. Most times I was trying to be friendly, but I think it came across flirty. I might have led on an underclassman or two when I was a senior.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? I joined choir with Kellie my junior year so that we could go on their big Hawaii trip. I liked choir so much that I did it again my senior year.
7. Were you a nerd? I actually did my homework and tried to get good grades, so people probably thought I was nerdy.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? I was a varsity cheerleader.
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? I got pretty close my senior year when the cops were called on me and some friends after a toilet paper war. The school police called us out of class to talk about the seriousness of "vandalizing property".
10. Can you still sing the fight song? Our fight song was the theme from Magnificent Seven. (I added it to my playlist on the right if you don't know what it sounds like.) The only words I remember are, "Chaparral..Cowboys..Rah!" They were right at the end.

12. Where did you sit during lunch? We didn't have lunch. We had 2 20-minute nutrition breaks between our 3 hour-and-forty-five-minute classes. I sat in the courtyard for the nutrition breaks.

17. What do you remember most about graduation? Ours was at the convention center because they were remodelling the Thomas and Mack that year. My parents said that they couldn't see anything because of the flat seating.

19. Were you in any clubs? I was in KEY Club for a little bit, but I quit going for some reason.

One Down, Seven To Go
(I'm already tired of seeing the post about how sick I am, so here are a few new posts to look at.)
Bill bought her this cute hat to wear for her party.
On my wish list, one of the eight things I wanted was a beach vacation. Thanks to our awesome neighbors Bill and Emilee, I got that wish last weekend. They were taking a trip down to their family beach house in southern California to celebrate Emilee's birthday.
Bill bought her this cute hat to wear for her party.She was telling me about their upcoming beach trip after the Relief Society Broadcast two weekends ago. I mentioned that we didn't make it to the beach this summer, and she said that we should go with them. (I wasn't fishing for an invite, Emilee, but I'm so glad you let us come with you because we had a blast.)
Their beach house was right on the beach.

The Nelsons and the Walkers also came, and we spent the weekend riding bikes, sitting on the beach, shopping, eating good food, and playing some fun games of Scattergories, Spades, and Kings Queens and Peons after the kids went to bed. The boys also did some kayaking, and Denett joined them for some boogie boarding. I did a lot of sitting around on this trip, and it was just what the doctor ordered for this pregnant lady.
Bill and Emilee, you guys sure have a great place down there. Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope you had a great birthday, Emilee.
